The Law @ Work Conference 2019 - 42648274

A one day conference providing practical guidance and analysis on topical employment law issues.

Description

2019 is set to be a landmark year in employment law in New Zealand. Most of the changes made by the Employment Relations Amendment Act are due to come in to force in May 2019, and with the Holidays Act and the Fair Pay Agreement Working Groups in various stages of their work, more change is due in the coming months.

Add to this the perennial challenges for HR practitioners, people managers or legal counsel that come about as a result of issues such as collective bargaining, misconduct or bullying investigations, mental health in the workplace and good faith. There are always traps for the unwary – and the consequences of getting it wrong can be severe.

The Law @ Work Conference, organised by Thomson Reuters, is now in its 4th year. Over three days, in three cities, the conference will address the most topical employment law issues affecting both lawyers and HR practitioners. The conference has been designed to address content in a practical way – with pragmatic advice for people managers and their advisors.

Expect a day of lively discussion and the valuable opportunity to remain up-to-date on the legislation, compliance, and case law.
